Stand for Truth and Righteousness

April 7, 2019

Stand for something or you will fall for anything. This slogan is sometimes viewed as a perspective of what you believe and the representation of your life style. One takes a stance, takes a position, postures, which includes both the body and feet from which you operate. In the Body of Christ, the church as a believer, our stance is for truth and righteousness. Truth, Jesus Christ is the Son of God, who died for our sins and He is the only way in which man can be saved. In accepting Him, truth is; you must develop and maintain a relationship with Him, which requires daily communication with Him through His Word, that includes getting an understanding of the Word of God.  Now in getting an understanding, it is important that you fellowship with other believers and seek God for a pastor who is responsible for teaching you the Word of God and living a holy life style.  You might say I believe I can get an understanding of the Word from watching television at home. Truth, television ministry can only enhance and it is not a replacement for attending a local assembly, (Hebrew 10:25)

Righteousness includes you standing in position on what is true. Sometimes people can take right as righteousness; however, it is not righteousness when it opposes; that is, going to battle with the truth in the Word of God.  Sometimes people will say “I know I am right”, “Sure you’re right”, nevertheless, if there is not truth, there is no righteousness.  I will give my best, I just do not have money to tithe.  Righteousness in the Word of God begins with having a cheerful attitude when you give, (2 Corn 9:7) and keeping in stance is bringing your tithe and offering in the House of God, that you may have your needs and God’s promises of overflow and God rebuking the enemy for you. (Malachi 3:10-12).

I would like to encourage you in several Truths and Righteousness in the Word of God; (1 John 2:1); when we sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ, our righteousness. Taking a stance for righteousness includes confessing your sins (sin is disobeying the Word of God).  Follow Jesus and allow Him to cleanse you of all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9). Stance of righteousness, is that Jesus is our righteousness *Hebrew name YHWY Tsidkenu. (Jeremiah 23:6). Jesus is the Truth (John 10:10). Remember to call on Jesus, accept His truth and righteousness and take a stance, that is your position in the Body of Christ with other believers.  Will you take your stand for Truth and Righteousness?

Defeat the Giants

April 6, 2019

In our Bible Study we have been reading a book called Goliath Must Fall by Louie Giglio. Goliath was a giant that taunted the Israelites to make them afraid (1Samuel 17). The book gives an example about a woman who bought a tiger as a cub. It was so cuddly and cute at first. But…

Expectations

March 31, 2019

When I think of expecting something of someone, the thought is usually “why did they do or say that”? When in reality, we never really talk about the expectations that we have for people that we associate ourselves with. We just assume that because of the type of relationship it is, the other person should…
