Take the Risk

“The servant given one thousand said, ‘Master, I know you have high standards and hate careless ways, that you demand the best and make no allowances for error. I was afraid I might disappoint you, so I found a good hiding place and secured your money. Here it is, safe and sound down to the last cent.’  Matthew 25:24-25 The Message

There is a way that seems right to man but the end there of will be destruction. Here we find the second half of Matthew 25.  We’re all very familiar with this scripture. What are you doing with the gifts you’ve been blessed with? Are you playing it safe out of laziness. Maybe you’re ‘scared stiff’. The servants that received the praise of their master took the gifts given them away from the place they’d received them. They weren’t afraid to expose their gifts to people that weren’t in the room when they were blessed. All three servants knew their master always received a tremendous return on his investments. Yet one chose to hide his gift. He didn’t want to expose it for fear something unexpected might happen. God expects a return on the oil He’s poured out onto you. It’s our responsibility to bring souls, money, even ideas into the kingdom that there may be a tangible return on God’s investment. Don’t sit on what you have inside.

Stand for Truth and Righteousness

April 7, 2019

Stand for something or you will fall for anything. This slogan is sometimes viewed as a perspective of what you believe and the representation of your life style. One takes a stance, takes a position, postures, which includes both the body and feet from which you operate. In the Body of Christ, the church as…

Defeat the Giants

April 6, 2019

In our Bible Study we have been reading a book called Goliath Must Fall by Louie Giglio. Goliath was a giant that taunted the Israelites to make them afraid (1Samuel 17). The book gives an example about a woman who bought a tiger as a cub. It was so cuddly and cute at first. But…

Expectations

March 31, 2019

When I think of expecting something of someone, the thought is usually “why did they do or say that”? When in reality, we never really talk about the expectations that we have for people that we associate ourselves with. We just assume that because of the type of relationship it is, the other person should…
